The Approach: Vulnerability, Safety and Connection

Group singing is an act of collective vulnerability. Ruth’s approach focuses on creating a psychologically safe environment where participants feel seen, valued, and empowered incorporating practical musical exercises to support, develop and empower participants both musically and personally.

The training is highly participative, blending practical musicianship with multidisciplinary insights from:

  • Community Music Therapy & Singing Therapy

  • Dance Therapy & Psychodrama

  • Sports and Performance Psychology

Each session follows a structured, practical arc: from effective warm-ups and song-teaching demonstrations to experimental "micro-leading" slots with constructive peer feedback.
